Injuries mount for Munster

Munster Coach Tony McGahan has several injury worries to worry about ahead of Magners League action against the Scarlets and two Heineken Cup ties against Clermont

Munster team manager Shaun Payne confirmed today that Rua Tipoki's knee injury sustained in the game against the All Blacks last week, rules him out of the upcoming Magners League game against Llanelli Scarlets and the Heineken Cup matches against Clermont Auvergne. "Rua suffered medial ligament damage and is not expected to return to action until sometime in January, " Payne said.

He also confirmed that Jerry Flannery who suffered a knee injury on Saturday in the game against Argentina is due to have a scan later this afternoon at a Dublin Hospital.
